This middle-aged person has really enjoyed and learned from this site; thank you! I feel like it would be a good investment to hire Alexander Mars to help me re-find my own style. I would like to add something to the opinions I've heard here about style and fashion. LANGUAGE is a part of one's style. I find too often that visually-oriented people stumble in this realm, both in talking and writing. The fact is that there's no faking mastery of language, whether you're speaking a street language or trying to meet the standards of the Chicago Manual of Style. Grammar, usage, spelling and vocabulary are all important. Also, you need to know what you are talking about, of course. I urge visually-oriented people to care about this kind of thing. First impressions are crucially important but the lasting impression of fantastic style can fall flat in the absence of "matching" language (and knowledge) prowess. In expanding that prowess, I would recommend that everyone remain curious and open. Avoid the "to a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail" syndrome. In my not so humble opinion, it's not very stylish to think you have all the answers. (And I include myself in that!
