Harlem, New York
This first photo speaks volumes to me... against a backdrop of nonsense reality tv, reality passes us by.
This gentleman doesn't need to pose for he camera to be in the spotlight.
What I also like here is that this is a weekend shot, and he just came from the coner store. I really like the fact that the look isn't a uniform... it seems to simply be him.
One thought.... old school Harlem, not upper east side, or upper west side Manhattan (like they call it now).
Love the quiet and calmness that you captured in the first picture. I'll always love old school Harlem!
ReplyDeleteI especially like the first photo. You are so correct in that it is a great contrast with the billboard. So much so that it makes "reality" show appear even more absurd.
ReplyDeletethe blue suede shoes (!) in the first shot are tremendous.
ReplyDeleteThis is what I'm talking about! Glad to see that you're capturing Harlem and the jewels within. This is what we like to see!
ReplyDeleteHarlem represent! Great shots.
