The Details

Paris, France

The point of this post is simple.... It's all about the details, the quality, the craftsmanship. Key elements to being well dressed... key elements to overall success (regardless to what endeavors you're undertaking). Chanel is brand that has weathered many a storm, yet continues to stay on their chosen course, and stand by what they believe in. Classic and timeless.

  1. I love how immediately recognizeable Chanel is without thumping you over the head. But then again Chanel does kinda thump you over the head with all its many details--still I love it, love it love it.

  2. great shots as always. Chanel is classic.

  3. Nice post. The quality speaks for itself.

  4. I'm not getting how a nettin midriff on an otherwise quiet dress is "classic and timeless." It seems more like Karl Lagerfeld trying to sell Chanel to women under 40.

  5. Anon, thanks for the comment. When I spoke of "classic and timeless", I was speaking on the details, the quality, and the craftsmanship.

  6. I agree with Anon. The netting midriff is not classic or timeless and I own a lot of Chanel. However that's what makes Karl Lagerfeld so great. At first glance it's always a quality piece but the extra embellishments add whimsy and sometimes are almost on the brink of being in bad taste. It's a juxtaposition. I can't get enough...

  7. Always so beautiful!
The second daughter has a creepy, no?
